The Parthenon was built from 447 B.C. to 432 B.C.by master architects named Calicrates and Ictinus. Originally built for Athena- the goddess of Wisdom, the Parthenon later became a Christian church, a mosque and even a weapons warehouse during the war between the Ottoman Empire and Venice.
