There are about three types of pyramids in Ancient Egypt: "True" pyramid- The typical pyramid, with smooth sides and hard edges(the pyramids you would imagine) Bent pyramid- Very smooth and has curved sides(obviously looks bent!) Stepped Pyramid- Has many steps to the top(it's a STEP pyramid!)

The Bent Pyramids' angles were calculated incorrectly and would be too heavy for its' height. By the time this was realized, they changed the angles at the top to make the sides meet.

The third pyramid that Sneferu attempted is the Red Pyramid and is the first classical pyramid and was the tallest manmade structure in the world until Khufu's Great Pyramid at Giza was constructed.
