The Boxer Rebellion was in China. The Boxers were a group that formed in the Chinese government. What they did was they went around and killed majority of Chinese Christians and immigrants. They costed more than $3 billion in damage. Then, the United States got involved and tried to help and so much stuff happened after that.

Some Chinese natives (called "boxers") didn't like all the European influence in China in the 1800's because they felt their culture was being disrespected and had lost most of their rights/priveledges. Unfortunately, the rebellion failed.

The official title of the movement was The Society of the Righteous and Harmonious Fists and refers to the Boxer's method of fighting (a close relation to Kung Fu which exists today). Over time the rebellion was written down in the pages of history as the "Boxer" Uprising.
