Uranium, neutron initiator and plutonium is used for the atomic bomb. The uranium slides down a funnel when the bomb makes contact with the ground and hits the plutonium. The uranium and plutonium are exacaly like magnets but instead of sliding to each other they repel and ram out of the funnel into two different types of neutron initiator. When they connect they explode, sending toxic gases into the atmosphere as well as a big explosion. Sending a mushroom cloud in the air and getting people sick.

Too many to list here, also it varies according to design:

  • fissile materials (Uranium-235, Uranium-233, Plutonium-239)
  • fusion fuels (Deuterium, Tritium, Lithium Deuteride)
  • metals (Aluminum, Beryllium, Uranium-238, Copper, Iron, etc.)
  • plastics (polyurethane, styrofoam, PVC, Teflon, etc.)
  • high explosives (most common now is various non-sensitive PBXs)
  • fabric (Nylon, Silk, etc. mostly in parachutes of "retarded" gravity bombs)
  • glass
  • electronic components (silicon, silicon dioxide, silicon nitride, metal film resistors, capacitors, inductors, dopant elements, etc.)
  • carbon-carbon composite ablative heat shields on warhead reentry vehicles
  • etc., etc.

It is a mistake to think that the atomic bomb is chemical in nature; it works by means of nuclear reactions rather than chemical reactions. Of course, it does still contain chemicals. The key ingredient of an atomic bomb is what is known as a fissile material, which is normally either plutonium, or a particular isotope of uranium known as U235.

It is either fissionable uranium or plutonium, but you cannot obtain the fissionable isotopes of both unless you are the government.
