I happened to come upon a colorized photo of the German Aviatrix on the web so a color evaluation is possible. the basic costume appears to be a form of sweater with three sets of White stripes running vertically, in the collar area, and on the left and right shoulder areas. the basic color appears to be Black or Very Dark Blue. She is wearing her Iron Cross second class on a ribbon attached to the blouse- and also her special female Pilot-Observer badge which appears to be White Metal. This is very similar to the Black and White photo in Angolia"s book ( For Fuhrer and Fatherland). As it could have been colorized inaccurately- should be taken with some degree of salt.Black and white could imply membership in the SS.
As for the Marine Corps I can say no. Once a Marine is commissioned or warranted as an officer, their uniform will change all together. The only thing that will remain the same is his/her ribbons/medals. Even the material of the uniform changes to a more thicker wool type (not sure of is actual make up) material. The "Blood Stripe is thicker on the trousers, the emblems are made a different way and they loose the red piping. In some ways the uniform looses some of the fancy looks and it gains some new ones. As a prior enlisted Marine who turned to the Warrant Officer ranks, I can definitely tell you there is a lot more maintenance that goes into the officer uniform as well as the cost of it. Hope this answers your question.

A combat ribbon, also known as a campaign ribbon or service ribbon, is a military decoration worn on a uniform to signify participation in a specific military campaign or operation. They are awarded to personnel who have served in combat or directly supported combat operations. Each ribbon represents a specific campaign or operation and may vary in design and color.
Just next to the heart
There are many award and decorations represented by various ribbons on an Army uniform. Each award is represented by a specific ribbon. Also, on those ribbons, are other devices that signifiy specific things about the awards. See related links for detailed information about Army awards.

You use a ribbon bar. These are thin frames of metal or plastic with pins. You slide the ribbons onto the frame work in the correct order and it pins onto the uniform with the standard sort of pin with cover. Ribbon bars come in metal for a specific number of ribbons, or you can get plastic ones that can be clipped to size. For a couple of ribbons, I prefer the metal frame, but once you get over a couple of rows, the plastic will provide some give and movement with the body.
Check the Marine Uniform regulations. They will specify what ribbons you are authorized to wear from the Army. Medals awarded are normally going to be allowed, but ribbons that don't come with medals probably won't be.
Facing the uniform, in order of precedence, from left to right, on the left breast, just above where a pocket would normally be. Ribbons go on the right breast. The easiest way to do it is to take them to the uniform shop and have them mount them properly and put them on your uniform. It's worth the money.
You can try replacing AFJROTC ribbons at military supply stores, uniform shops, or online military retailers. Reach out to your local AFJROTC unit or check with your school for more specific information and recommendations.
Because Medals and Ribbons are worn on the left side of the uniform, over the heart, whilst badges which have meaning, but less significance to them than Ribbons Or medals which signify Campaigns, achievements, or special assignments. Compared to Badges which just signify knowledge.
As per the new AFI 36-2903 4.9.1.3.3. Ribbons. All ribbons and devices will be worn on the men's service dress uniform. However, if the service coat is not worn then 4.9.2.3.2 states that all or no ribbons and devices will be worn on the shirt itself.
Ribbons in the military are awarded for various achievements and actions such as service, training, valor, and campaign participation. Each branch of the military has its own specific criteria for awarding ribbons, which are typically outlined in official regulations and policies. The ribbons are typically worn on the service member's uniform to signify their accomplishments and contributions.
