Sir Isaac Newton discovered gravity in 1650, when an apple fell on his head.
Sir Issac newton was not a dinosour he was just born in earlyer timeshis birth date was December 25 1642
1564
There was no exact date. 5th of July 1687 was the sharpest date, which was the date of publishing of the "Principia". If you type into Google Principa Mathematica this is the calculus that he formulated to solve the mystery of gravity. I know it was in the 1600's but cannot remember the exact date. Olly
Issac Newton was born in 1642, on December 25.
The newton being a unit was never "discovered". It is also a derived unit so it really has no establishing date.
When the first monkey fell out of a tree. Newton published his Law of Universal Gravitation in 1687, though certainly people before then knew about gravity in general... Hooke in particular had suggested that it fell off as the square of the distance some time in the 1660s.
He needed gravity because he had ideas about motion. He believed gravity caused planets to revolve around the sun instead of flying off into space.
First of all, Newton never stated the apple fell on his head, he only said that he began to think vigorously upon universal gravity while watching an apple fall from a tree. Newton also never stated even the year he had this experience (he recounted it to friends decades after the fact), but his notebooks show he began working on gravity in the late 1660s.

The exact date of the Newton Meter is unknown, but it was in the mid 1600's. Sir Isaac Newton was the founder of the Newton Meter.
