We will never know the first book ever written because in olden times, people wrote in different and unknown languages. The books also can not have lasted over millions of years. We will never know, yet we do have more recent books from about 100 years or so.
There is no doubt that the first use of the pencil - from cane papyrus - and write on panels made from sugar cane pulp, too, are the Sumerians in Iraq ( which was called ..MESOPOTAMIA..)before 7000 years ( 5000 B.C.) .
