In 1992 Nerf Arrows were released, and an idea for a miniature arrow with a suction tip was made. Packaged with the Sharpshooter, the first darts were born they had wings like arrows, but the size of a mega dart. In 1993, Rip Rockets were created with their new ammunition called "Micro Darts", which is what most people call "Suction darts" today.
