Delta was first formed to transport the nutrient-rich products for crop duster planes(on May 30, 1924 in Macon, Georgia).. But as time went on and people's needs changed Delta saw the need to pick up people instead. They combined/merged with more and more other airplane companies and eventually became what they are today.
