On the 14th May 2005, Didier Delsalle claimed to be the first pilot to land on the summit of Mount Everest in an unmodified AS-350 B3 Eurocopter. He made contact with the summit for around two minutes.

The helicopter cannot withstand the strong winds and harsh weather, but it also has to have a certain amount of oxygen in order to remain in the air.
