In the Universe, no less - there is simply no way to tell, because 'naming' is something that people do on this and maybe on any other planet in the universe. We don't even know if there are any people or comparable living organisms elsewhere, nor if they were or are in the habit of 'naming' things or fellow creatures.
On planet Earth, primitive speech - and probably the naming of things and people - by early hominids began to develop more than 1.5 million years ago. What the first name used then was is unfortunately totally lost in the mist of times.

Jesuit priest Georges LeMaitre was the first to use general relativity to show that an expanding universe was the only reasonable description of our Universe, the first to suggest that an expansion would have observable effects, and the first to propose that our Universe had (his words) "a day with no yesterday."

The Universe
The universe really has no name. It is described as a four-dimensional space-time continuum consisting of matter and energy. Various synonyms for our universe include "cosmos", "creation", "the world", "nature", "all that is", "everything that exists", "space", "space-time", and "macrocosm".
VY Canis Majoris is the name of the largest star that we know of in our universe.
We only name things that we can see, or detect. The first stars in the universe were likely supergiant stars that exploded in supernova explosions within a few hundred million years. The material blasted into space by the first three or four generations of rapidly-dying stars provided the raw material that came together to form our solar system.
Scientists believe the "first event" in the Universe was the Big Bang. The Big Bang Theory attempts to explain how the universe was originally created.
