I think it is the Lavendar Pit (copper mine) in Bisbee, AZ.
Well since guy rather have a loos whole and usually guys will work in a mine they would use a open pit mine since it is bigger than a shaft ( small whole mine)

There is an open pit mine near the Globe/Miami area in Arizona. There is also an Apache tears mine there. I've been to both. I don't know if they still do it, but at the Apache tears mine, many years ago, you paid a dollar and they gave you a bucket. You had to mine the rocks yourself. There are other copper mines in AZ.
You cant get it on the first mine you have to unlock the third mine. to unlock the third mine you have to get the second mine first.to get the second mine to do that you have to get to the last floor of the first mine. when (or if) you finish the first mine you might have a chance to get the second mine event!
