The individual members did record, but the Beatles didn't record together after their breakup in 1969.
The Beatles made their first movie "A Hard Day's Night" in 1964.
The Silver Beatles made no records. Lennon, McCartney, Harrison and Stuart Sutcliffe made a home tape in about 1960, which included "Matchbox", "Hallelujah I Love Her So", and early versions of "One After 909" and "I'll Follow The Sun". This was later bootlegged. "Hallelujah" and an original instrumental called "Cayenne" were included on the first volume of The Beatles Anthology.
