A:First He created a plan. Why create without purpose? Then the Angels, cause they rejoiced when the Heavens & Earth were created (Job 38:7). Then the Heavens & the Earth(aka, the universe; Genesis 1:1). Then the recreation of the disorderly Earth(Genesis 1:2-31), including plants, animals, and mankind.

The first thing God created was not a what, but a who. God's son was the first thing He created. The son of God is the "Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last". He was the first and the last of his father's creation. Everything else was created through the Son.

Genesis 1:1 says that "In the beginning God created the Heaven and The Earth" but that was not the first thing God created.

Job 38:4-7 KJV Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. (v.6) Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; (v.7) When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

(Note that the only "sons of God" are Adam and the angels. This couldn't refer to Adam because he wasn't even created yet, so it can refer only to the angels. Apart from the first man Adam, we are not sons of God: that is why we are called 'mankind'.)

3. The Third thing God created was TIME

NB As Einstein showed in his Theory of Relativity, Time is a physical dimension. There are therefore 4 spatial dimensions, not 3: Length, Width, Height, and Time (or Space-Time as astronomers call it .)

Time as we know it couldn't have existed before then because there was a 1st day of creation. The 1st day of creation is called "Day One" in Hebrew.

4. The Fourth thing God created was the HEAVEN AND THE EARTH (Genesis 1:1)

There are two creation accounts in the Book of Genesis and each has a very different sequence of creation.

1. In the first account (Genesis 1:1-2:4a), the first thing God created was the light of day (Genesis 1:3) and the last of creation was man (both male and female).

There is one Creation-account in the Torah (Genesis ch.1-2), with chapter 1 giving a brief overview and ch.2 getting down to detail. The first thing that God created was the universe as a whole (Genesis 1:1, Rashi commentary on Genesis 1:14). At the very least, this includes space, time, and the raw materials for everything that we now see. On the subsequent days, God formed each of the things that are named and caused them to function.
