The KKK wanted an Aryan race that did not include blacks, Hispanics, or any other race different in color. It was against different churches (other than their own), people such as the Jews or Catholics, or any race that was white but not of the KKK's following.

At first the main objective of white supremacy organizations such as the Ku Klux Klan was to stop black people from voting. After white governments had been established in the South, the Ku Klux Klan continued to undermine the power of blacks. Successful black businesses were attacked, and any attempt to form black protection groups such as trade unions was quickly dealt with.

Thankfully the KKK membership has dwindled to a few thousand.

The Ku Klux Klan (KKK) is a white supremacist organization, whose goals are to protect white privilege and obstruct any attempt at racial equality. Part of its popularity in the 1920s was because it strongly supported and defended (sometimes illegally) National Prohibition (1920-1933).

The first branch of the Ku Klux Klan was established in Pulaski, Tennessee, in May, 1866. A year later a general organization of local Klan's was established in Nashville in April, 1867. Most of the leaders were former members of the Confederate Army and the first Grand Wizard was Nathan Forrest, an outstanding general during the American Civil War. During the next two years they terrorised and killed black Americans, sympathetic whites and immigrants, who they blamed for the election of Radical Republicans. Between 1868 and 1870 the Ku Klux Klan played an important role in restoring white rule in North Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia. At first the main objective of white supremacy organizations such as the Ku Klux Klan was to stop black people from voting. After white governments had been established in the South the Ku Klux Klan continued to undermine the power of blacks. Successful black business's were attacked and any attempt to form black protection groups such as trade unions was quickly dealt with. Eventually the Klan targeted anyone they disliked - Jews, Catholics etc.

the goal of the KKK today is to protect the white race, our country and stand up to white rights. For instance, a black person can say black power and its fine but if a white person says white power its racist and illegal and you will get in trouble for saying it, WTF. So that's just one of the things that the KKK is against and that is one of they're goals is to fix this messed up policy.

There were really three distinct Klans. The first arose shortly after the Civil War. The second (the so-called Klan of the 1920s) arose after Georgia established a widely violated state wide alcohol prohibition. The third arose in the 1950s and was not a single klan but a number of small disorganized klans The goals of each differed to some degree. For example, the Klan of the 20s was very concerned with supporting and defending alcohol prohibition in addition to more usual concerns, but all three used violence and intimidation.
