I assume it was like any other "house was like". a SMALL cottage with 2 rooms , 1 for the animals and the other for the people.
Before the industrial Revolution Wolverton, I gather the one in Milton Keynes, Was an ex medieval settlement.
wolverton wasent one of the best places to be before the industrial revolution because most families were self sufficiant and you werent garanteed a pay at all. you would have to sell your home made produce at the market and if it didnt sell then you would go with out. And the animals lived INSIDE they were considered almost a part of the family and the rest of the family would have to share one room. And that one room would be the kitchen, the livong room the bedroom and the toilet and when it was cold the work room to. it was just a lot of bad conditions !
There were no sewers until after the industrial revolution so no one can say what they were like before.
compare marketing activities before and after the industrial revolution.
During the Industrial Revolution, housing for workers was often overcrowded, poorly constructed, and lacked proper sanitation. Many workers lived in tenements or slums located near factories, leading to unsanitary and unsafe living conditions. Workers and their families often lived in cramped quarters with limited access to clean water and proper ventilation.
Social housing began in the 19th century as a response to poor living conditions in urban areas during the Industrial Revolution in countries like the UK and Germany. The first modern social housing projects were designed to provide affordable, safe, and decent housing for low-income workers and their families.
