That would be the Martin Mars flying boats. The US Navy used 5 of them as long range ocean patrol aircraft near the end of WW2. Max take off weight of 165,000 pounds was far in excess of any other aircraft in WW2.
Three of these huge and beautiful aircraft can still be seen flying as Fire Tankers at Sproat Lake, Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
