Alexander the Great, also known as Alexander III of Macedon, became king after the death of his father, King Philip II. One thing Alexander the Great was known for was his conquering most of the known world of his time.
At the time, Egypt was part of the Persian Empire, but Alexander conquered it separately before turning toward Persia Major. For one thing, Egypt was revolting against Persia and welcomed Alexander as a liberator. Plus, Alexander used the wealth of Egypt to finance the campaign against Persia.
He conquered the Persian Empire, and for better and worse, made it into an empire of his own.
they are both the same thing
Apparently, Mothman appears before a major disaster. There had been sightings in Ukraine for a few weeks, then that whole Chernobyl thing happened. He is where ever death will occur in great numbers.
The end of the Persian Empire, for a start, although whether that was a bad thing or not is debatable. And... The warring factions that arose after his death. His empire was torn into pieces and fought over. Much better to have let the Persians keep it, I think.
Your question calls for an opinion, so I can only give mine. In my thinking Julius Caesar was much more successful than Alexander the Great. I base this on what the two leaders left to posterity. Caesar, for starters, had the common sense to make a will and designate an heir so his reforms and family name would continue. Alexander foolishly did no such thing and there was turmoil and division after his death and all his victories were for nothing, as there was no large Macedonian empire after he died. True, there was civil war after Caesar's death, but it was settled and Rome grew and prospered. Caesar also gave us numerous innovations and left us literature while Alexander left the world nothing except the historical fact that he was a great military leader.
Nothing happens after death; you go out like a light. You remember before you were born? Same thing.
Greece never had an empire. The closest thing to a Greek empire was the achievements of Alexander the Great, but that disintegrated after his death.
One thing,..... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Alexander The Great
Alexander III succeeded to have one of the greatest empires that was extending from Greece to India while he was still 30 years old. When he was put on the death bed, he ordered his generals that on his death to keep his hands dangling out of the death basket with his palms wide open to show the people that despite his great treasures of gold and wealth and despite his great fame of not conquered in a single battle and despite his famous sharp sword, he is leaving the world empty handed and with nothing. The wisdom of that is to demonstrate to his people that every one should do good deeds in his life because his/her good deeds are the only thing that remains with him/her after death. The wise person is that who who prepares himself/herself to the second eternal life by doing good deeds that satisfy his/her God; the Creator.
Love is a good thing because you love a special person. LOVE is a great thing but you hurt a lot before you find the real thing.
