The Secret Service Special was made by both Iver Johnson and Meriden Firearms for the Fred Bifar Co of Chicago in the early 1900's. There's not a lot of information available about this model or Fred Bifar Co, but it is apparently very similar to the IJ Model 1900 which will retail for $50-$175, depending on originality and condition.

For a Smith and Wesson revolver in stainless steel that shoots short bullets, you might need a 380 caliber pistol or a S&W 32 caliber revolver.

If you are referring to the US model 1917 revolver,I would say that they are going anywhere from 400-1,000 dollars depending on condition and finish.

Step 1- be sure that the maker of our revolver WAS Smith & Wesson. If the only marking is "38 S&W", that is not the maker, but the caliber. Second, if the gun IS marked Smith & Wesson, contact S&W customer service. S&W does not share data on dates of manufacture as other makers do.

50-2000 or so depending on EXACTLY what you have and condition

Possilbe, depends on condition and accessories.

Sorry- you do not have a Smith & Wesson revolver. You have an Arminius revolver made in CALIBER .32 S&W. Most were made in the early 1960s. Import was banned in 1968. These are low cost firearms with a frame made from a zinc alloy. No specific date of manufacture records. Value in good condition $100 or less. .

Call S&W and they will tell you when it left the factory. It could have been made anywhere from a week to a year before.

User Avatar

What you describe was not made by S&W. Value would not likely exceed 50-60 USD

Call S&W or acquire a copy of the Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson, 3rd edition

User Avatar

yes, check Smith and Wesson. They have a 50 caliber revolver. I believe so does Taurus.
