The 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado fits that description.
Pontiac GTO. The Pontiac GTO is an automobile that was manufactured by American automobile manufacturer Pontiac from the 1964 to 1974 model years, and by GM's subsidiary Holden in Australia from the 2004 to 2006 model years. The first generation of the GTO was a muscle car produced in the 1960s and the 1970s
Dodge Shadow, Pontiac Sunfire and Buick Skylark are car models. Dodge Spirit, Oldsmobile Silhouette and Ford Scorpio are car models.
Very unlikely. I know of no model that has been discontinued and ever came back. Plymouth, Desota, and now Oldsmobile. Pontiac will be next to disappear. GM had too many models in the first place. Plymouth is dodge not gm though.
No.
Depends on what Oldsmobile model you're referring to...
There are three Oldsmobile model's that start with the letter A.Alero,Aurora, and the Achieva.
Mid 1960s
The Pontiac Solstice is a model car of the American car company, Pontiac, which is owned by GM. The Pontiac Solstice is, currently, the fastest Pontiac.
To get a 400 Pontiac Motor in 1979, you had to also get the 4 speed. Pontiac last manufactured 400 motors in 1978 but saved some from 1978 for use in the 1979 model. Those motors were used in the 1979 4 speed cars only. 1979 Automatics had the Oldsmobile 403. You could also get a turbo version too. All of which could come with auto trans. I worked on many of these at the Pontiac dealer.
Not exactly. The La Salle is rather a "Companion" brand. See, around the end of WW1 GM started a price-segmentation program [the "Companion Make" program] . Chevrolet was the entry level brand, followed by Oakland [bought by GM in 1909 from its founder and his heirs], Oldsmobile was a higher priced brand, followed by Buick and topped with Cadillac as the luxury brand. By the middle 1920's gaps in the price-product scheme were identified and thus four new brands were added: Pontiac, Viking , Marquette and La Salle. Placing Pontiac in the price gap between Oakland and Oldsmobile, Viking in the gap between Oldsmobile and Oakland, Marquette in the gap between Oldsmobile and Buick and LaSalle in the price gap between Buick and Cadillac. Pontiac had emerged directly from Oakland [which was founded in Pontiac, Michigan]. Viking from the Oldsmobile family, Marquette from the Buick stables and La Salle from the Cadillac division.
Since Oldsmobiles are no longer being made, every Oldsmobile model is of the past
