Its a contest between two.

The trial of Rebbecca Nurse in which she was aqquitted, people repealed the verdict and was then proclaimed guilty. She was one of the accused who had a lot of doubt surrounding her case.

The other would be the Reverand George Burroughs because he was a Puritan reverand that had worked in Salem Village and had been able to recite the Lord's Prayer, something witches supposedly couldn't do.

During the trials they used all of the five trials to be accused.

The first type was trying to pass a test. An example of the test was trying to say god's prayer. The second type was to look at physical looks, as in birthmarks, moles, or other blemishes. These were seen as entrances to let the demon into the body. The third type was witness testimony, where anybody could help the accused or get them convicted. The fourth type was spectral evidence which ment if the accused was seen as a ghost or a spirit by someone else then they were a witch. The fifth type was confession. They thought it would be too reckless to say they were innocent so they would ask mercy from the town. No one who confessed was convicted. so the answer to your question is that there was no infamous trial.

The most infamous Salem trial would be that of Rebbecca. She was found innocent, then the verdict was repealed, she was convicted and sentenced to hang, people signed a petition calling for the reversal of the sentence, the petition was accepted, then overturned and she was excuted.

The trial of Rebbecca Nurse. She was the only accused witch found innocent before spectral evidence was outlawed. However, that verdict was repealed and replaced with a guilty verdict and a sentence of death by hanging.

The most infamous trial belongs to Rebbecca Nurse. After she was found innocent, the court changed their verdict and sentenced her to hang. A petition was signed to repeal the sentence and was accepted, then dismissed. She was executed on July 19th 1692 and the only one of the accused to have been found innocent after a trial.
