The Battle of Kadesh between the Egyptian Empire under Ramesses II and the Hittite Empire under Mutwatalli II took place on the 12th May 1274BC. It is recorded as the largest chariot battle ever to take place, involving nearly 5,000 chariots.
Ramesses the second is not the same person as ramesses the third. Ramesses the second is more famus and is more pupular. Ramesses the third is just another ramesses.
