yfyewgfygefyewgyfg didn't really attend any real elementary school. When he was born, there weren't any elementary schools. What would happen is that a grown up in the settlement would get a couple of guys together and teach them what he knew, like how to read and do arithmetic. Kind of like church school, it wasn't every day or all the time like elementary school is today. Andrew Jackson was born in the Waxhaw settlement in North Carolina. He was born at home because there weren't any hospitals. A settlement was often made up of about eight to ten families together, so it wasn't a big town. It was more like your neighborhood is today. He ran away and joined the Army when he was about 12 and was a prisoner of war at 13. He nearly died that year and his brother did die of smallpox. When he became a civilian, he learned to read well, and became a lawyer. It is a lot easier to get an education today.
