Shakespeare performed in a number of Theatres. Before 1594, he may have been with Lord Strange's Men when they played Titus Andronicus at the Rose. After 1594, when the Lord Chamberlain's Men were formed, they performed at the Theatre until it was closed, then at The Curtain until the Globe was built in 1599. Shakespeare's plays were also played at the Blackfriars after 1608.
Many people do not understand that Shakespeare had already completed one-third of his career before the Globe Theatre was even built.
