Elie Wiesel and his father were marched from Auschwitz III (Monowitz/Buna) to Buchenwald.
They scored a victory at the Battle of Trenton on December 26, 1776. After famously crossing the Delaware River from Pennsylvania into New Jersey on Christmas night, they marched to Trenton in frigid ice and snow, surprising the Hessian garrison there.
He died in New York, New York
Walter Camp lived in at least two places during his life. He was born in New Britain, CT and died in New York City.
Bruno's new house is in Auschwitz concentration camp
New prisoners were marched into the camps and made to line up. Some were killed if they didn't move fast enough or follow the orders they were given. Once lined up, they were then separated into groups. Men and women were separated as well. Some of the groups were lead to the prisons where they were assigned to their barracks to sleep up to 5 per bunk-bed. Some were taken to their slaughter. Inductions were similar but different for each camp and treatment was harsher at some than others.
In the book "Night", Elie and his father are transferred to the Buna camp, a subcamp of Auschwitz, where they are forced to perform hard labor and endure harsh conditions.
In the book "Night" by Elie Wiesel, the prisoners are typically subjected to a selection process upon entering a new camp. This involves being inspected by SS officers to decide who is fit for labor and who should be sent to the gas chambers. The prisoners also often endure harsh conditions, lack of food, and overcrowded sleeping quarters when they enter a new camp.
During the air raid in the book "Night" by Elie Wiesel, the prisoners were evacuated from the camp and forced to undertake a long and difficult march to another camp. Many prisoners died during this chaotic and traumatic evacuation process, and those who survived faced even harsher conditions in the new camp.
