The Eiffel Tower may be the most famous structure in the world but it had one major complaint before her construction: It was ugly.
Other major concerns were that the tower would overshadow all of Paris's beautiful architecture, such as the Louvre, Notre Dame, Palais Garnier and the Arc de Triomphe.
