The US wanted these weapons to be used against Germany, before they could use them against the Allies.
However Germany was defeated with conventional weapons before these weapons were ready. So the US decided to use them on Japan as soon as they were ready, to end the war without having to invade Japan.
The United States used the atomic bomb offensively during WWII. That is pretty close to nuclear weapons.
Atomic/nuclear weapons
First of all Kid they didn't use Nuclear weapons in WW2...They used two Atomic Bombs
Yes. Both strategic & tactical nuclear weapons. Great Britain has been a nuclear power since the end of the Second World War. The US & Britain cooperated in the secret nuclear program during WW2 that created the first atomic bombs.
Atomic and nuclear weapons.
by the nuclear weapons or atomic weapons from WW2 a Russian man hacked the lesson of how to make destructive bombs in WW2 to make a cold war.
Because while we were supporting the south, the north were supported by the USSR, who also had nuclear missiles, and we didn't want to start a nuclear holocaust
Nuclear weapons have only been used in combat on Japan.
After the war came the cold war and the weapons race. The nuclear arsenals increased during that period.
There never was a nuclear war, in which nations exchanged atomic weapons at each other. The closest man ever came to a nuclear war (an exchange of nuclear weapons) was during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, in which the US was really going to deploy atomic weapons upon the USSR...if they didn't back off with their deployment of nuclear weapons in Cuba. US forces (Air, Land, and Sea) were enroute to intercept Soviet forces with orders to stop them, if...they didn't abort their mission. The Soviets turned around and went home; the crisis was over. This was the only publicized "edge of nuclear war" man's ever experienced.
Nuclear weapons, Biological Weapons, Chemical Weapons.
It was 1945 when the US used the atomic bombs againt Japan. That was when the weapons race began.
