What was the purpose of the allies in World War 2?

In plain words, it all started when a nut named Adolf Hitler wanted the world, or at least a good chunk of it to be ruled by the "superior Aryan (blond hair, blue eyes) race". If you would like further details, feel free to ask. As to the purpose, I would like to meet the man who can prove that war has purpose. Ti's simply a pomp and toil created by man to express natural anger in a more "civilized" manner.

Their purpose was to counteract and defeat the forces of the Axis countries. It was not an easy task as Russia had it's own agenda, and there were personality conflicts among several of the Allied military leaders. Still, they were able to work together effectively enough to defeat Germany, who was the principle member of the Axis.
