Reason 5: Efficiency. Car parts have changed to become more efficient, and have better fuel efficiency as well as lower material costs. These different types of fuels require different parts, and have different performance. Reason 7: Better roads: Roads have become overall better with greater dependence on them. Cars are designed with this in mind. Reason 8: Laws. Laws around the manufacture of cars have continued to change as needs have changed.
