∙ 9y ago- It became Hitler's Waterloo. German's fell just short of capturing Moscow because they started too late and encountered winter weather. The troops were still wearing summer gear at 50 below zero, underestimated resistance of Russians and initial thrust by Hitler against general's advice was too far east because his focus initially was gaining land vs Moscow-against his general's advice.
