Currently, the 2 closest relatives to T. Rexs are those in the class Aves (known as Birds) and Crocodilians.

The chicken
No bird is more closely related to T. rex than any other. In terms of behavior, probably the pirs most similar to T rex would be eagles as they, like Tyrannosaurus, can be apex predators. Yet this predators closest living relative today is the chicken.
Currently it is not known whether nanotyrannus was a young T. rex or a T rex relative.
Allosaurus was but it was a bit smaller and had three fingers.
The closest living relatives of T-Rex are birds. All birds, including chickens, are equally related to T-Rex. Note that birds did NOT evolve from T-rex, they evolved from small, feathered carnivorous dinosaurs.
The T rex's closest modern relitive is the chicken.
i think it would be... an ostrich, a crocodilia, a bird, or an alligator :3
It squawked. I think so because eagles squawk and Tyrannosaurus Rex's closest living relative is the bald eagle and not the chicken(it did not eat the same food.)
T. rex is short for Tyrannosaurus rex.

Oddly enough, the name T-rex is its own scientific name. It's the abbreviation of the binomial name Tyrannosaurus rex and translates to "Tyrant lizard king" from latin.Interesting fact: as it is the abbreviation of a scientific name, it should be written as "T. rex", not "T-Rex" or "T Rex."
