The 5G included in the serial number indicates that your browning lightweight 12ga.was made by browning in 1965.
I bought mine in 2005 with the zippered pouch and the manual for $365. Condition was 96%, function perfect.
Frederick Browning died on 1965-03-14.
Need a description of the finish, condition, barrel length, box, papers, etc..
your browning sweet sixteen was made in 1965.assuming that you have a standard grade in 80% condition it would be worth about 625.00 dollars,if it has a vent rib barrel it would be worth 875.00 dollars. if the shotgun is in better condition say 90% the value would go up another 100-250 dollars.
made in 1965 Date your gun http://www.browning.com/customerservice/dategun/index.asp
The value is dependant on three things. Condition, condition, and most of all condition. Anyone would need very good pictures or a hands on evaluation to make a determination of value.
This gun was made in 1965 Value is too difficult to be accurate without seeing the gun. Condition which includes the amount of original finish and original configuration will determine value. Auto 5's with recoil pads (other than Mag 12's) poly-chokes and compensators will reduce value. Recommend taking it to a gun shop for appraisal.
