The probe "Venera 7" sent by the USSR was the first. It landed on the planet
Venus, in 1970 I think.
Venus was the first planet on which a space probe landed.
The first unmanned probe to land on Venus was the Soviet spacecraft Venera 7, which successfully landed on the planet's surface on December 15, 1970.
No spaceship has landed on Jupiter. It is not possible as it is a gas planet. Apart from fly- past spacecraft, only Galileo has orbited it in 1975. It released a probe into Jupiter's atmosphere which was crushed and probably vaporized.
It died
The NASA space probe Pathfinder landed on Mars in July 1997.
The first planet to be explored by a space probe is Venus. Hope this helps. : )
The Viking 1 and Viking 2 landers were the first successful probes to perform in-situ analysis of the environment of another planet when they landed on Mars in 1976. They carried out experiments to study the Martian soil composition, atmosphere, and search for signs of life.
The first man-made object to reach the moon was the Luna 2 probe in 1959.
