The same way a white man attracts a white woman. However, there are other elements involved here. Some white women are loath to date a black man. Some white women are curious about black men. Some white women are intrigued about the mystique surrounding black men and their sexuality.

The novel you are referring to is "The White Tiger" by Aravind Adiga, which features an Indian protagonist who hibernates in his own way by escaping the confines of his circumstances and societal expectations.
I'm assuming you mean since the invasion of the Europeans? This is a very complex question. There are several factors. First, the white man brought diseases that the American Indian had no prior exposure to and therefore, no immunities. The white man brought superior weaponry and an eminent domain mentality that allowed them to do anything it took to take the lands they wanted, without conscience. These included "legal" techniques that the government used such as sending peaceful and/or defeated tribes to lands far different from the lands they had known for generations. Ie.. the mountain/desert Apaches to the Florida everglades where they died by the hundreds. They also were put on reservations near or with tribes they had warred with for generations with the hope the tribes would annihilate each other. There were also many illegal tactics such as when Andrew Jackson defied the supreme court and sent the Cherokee on their famous Trail of Tears...just one of MANY Trails of Tears. Part of the decline was also because of the Indian. The tribes did not band together until it was really too late. The Indian trusted the white man when they gave their word. Lying was just not acceptable by the American Indian. What happened was inevitable. The WAY it happened was unconscionable.
Oh, what a lovely question! In American Indian translation, "white paws" can vary depending on the specific tribe or language. Each tribe may have its own unique way of expressing this concept, reflecting the deep connection between their language and the natural world around them. It's like a beautiful dance of words, painting a picture of nature's wonders.
