Auschwitz, located at the intersection of several Polish cities, making it easily accessible from cities in German-occupied Europe. Auschwitz was the worst concentration camp because the goal of the camp was the extermination and elimination of all the prisoners admitted to the camp.
The Auschwitz group of camps (which inluded Birkenau) was the largest, and the main camps (Auschwitz I, II and III) were located near the Polish town of Oswiecim. The minimum serious modern scholarly estimate of the number of prisoners killed is about 1.1 million, of whom about 90% were Jews. (These figures were worked out by the Director of the Auschwitz Museum, Franczisek Piper and published in an article in 1989). The next camp in terms of the death-toll was Treblinka II, where an estimated 870,000 victims were slaughtered.
by 1943 they were eliminated by firebombing them, and sending the last remaining people to the death camps in Auschwitz's and Bergen_Belsen to name the worst of the worst.

Crucification
according to the flood history in the book of Genesis, only 8 survived that.
Auschwitz was the largest, and specifically built to target and exterminate Jews. So for pure evil intent, this makes it generally considered the worst of the worst.

Hades is a fictional 'place'. Places cannot confer punishment
Because it serves to remind us of how evil and inhumane the human species can really be. The reason Auschwitz is significant today is because it was one of the worst concentration camps. It was made of three things put together. 4.1 million people were killed there. It is part of the past and it has something big to do with the past. The reason it is significant is because it is something that will never be forgotten and will always be there for people to see how bad some people can be. Also to show us that people are treated different no matter what. This is why Auschwitz is significant.
Worst case scenario - the Death Penalty.
