2.789m is the broadcast wavelength for the radio station 107.5 FM
Frequency = speed/wavelength = 3 x 108 / 3.25 = 92.3 MHz. In the US, that frequency is in the commercial FM broadcast band (88 - 108 MHz). There are many FM stations, in many different cities, on that frequency.
Wavelength = speed/frequency = 299,792,458/810,000 = 370.114 meters.It makes no difference whether it's AM, FM, TV, 256QAM, modulated, or CW.
Fm radio waves travel at various frequencies between 87.5 MHz and 108.0 MHz
Wavelength = speed/frequency299,792,458 meters per second/94,400,000 per second = 3.176 meters = 10ft 5in(For the speed, I used the speed of light/radio in vacuum, although you actuallyreceive your FM program through air. The speed of radio is very slightly less inair, and that implies a very slightly larger wavelength ... less than a small fractionof a hill of beans.)

Wavelength = Speed of light/frequency Wavelength= 300'000'000/104'900'000 (FM 104.9 is frequency modulation 104.9 MHz) Wavelength=2.86 meters
Generally, the wavelength of an FM signal is shorter than an AM signal. A typical FM broadcast band is 88-108 MHz, while a typical AM broadcast band is 540-1660 KHz, making the FM signal wavelength 100 times shorter.

Classic FM broadcasts in the FM radio frequency range, typically between 88 and 108 MHz. Each frequency corresponds to a specific wavelength, which varies depending on the frequency the station is broadcasting on.

Classic FM typically broadcasts at a frequency of 100-101 MHz, which corresponds to a wavelength range of approximately 3-3.4 meters.

The issue is not frequency and wavelength, a relationship is the problem AM Wave length is longer, than FM Wave length. Shorter wave lengths have a tendency to be shorter in the pm. AM Wave lengths were used before FM wave lengths.
