This doesn't mean you won't sin, or even change over night, but usually you gradually change to become more like Jesus. It can also be demonstrated by spiritual gifts, but not necessarily

∙ 10y agoFrom the moment we wake up till the time we go to sleep(even when we are sleeping),the presence of energy is felt every nook and corner.The heart beat,the solar energy,heat energy etc. everything are part of this Almighty.Everything is Him.We cannot even think of a day without any energy.We are also a part of this great thing.Scientists have termed His presence by 'ENERGY'.

There are many ways in which I sense the presence of the Holy Spirit.
One of the most frequent occurrences is when something happens and I need a bible verse to use. If I have spent time reading God's word and committing it to memory, then in certain situations the Holy Spirit will bring the right verse(s) to memory. This could be when sharing about Christ. It could be while engaging in spiritual warfare. Jesus used scripture to defeat Satan in the wilderness, and we are to do likewise. I find it amazing how the Holy Spirit will be right there with a perfect verse. I was agonizing over money problems the other day. Along comes yet another bill I wasn't expecting. I went to prayer and I am given Proverbs 3:5-6:
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him. And He will make your paths straight (direct your path)."
I spoke these words out loud and it was amazing how much it calmed me, and tool my focus off my problems and back on the Lord.
This is just one example of how I sense the Holy Spirit.

∙ 14y agoNo one can know this. It is a matter of faith. Some believe that if a Christian does good things for others, then the Holy Spirit is with that person. This does not explain why non-Christians doe good things for others, so perhaps this is allegoric.
AnswerNo-one can confess Jesus as Lord without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. So, if one sincerely believes Jesus is who He said He was, they can be assured of the presence of the Holy Spirit.

The fruits of the Spirit are gifts from God given to those who are living the Gospel generously. If your first thoughts in the morning, upon awakening, are of God, and you start your day with prayer. Then, continue throughout the day, doing nothing outside of His Will, and continuing in prayer and good works (The works of charity by which we shall be judged:
To feed the hungry,
To give drink to the thirsty,
To clothe the naked,
To visit the prisoners,
To shelter the homeless
To visit the sick,
To bury the dead
To give alms to the poor.)
Then He will give you the fruits of the Spirit. The first thing, usually, that people recognize is that they are more patient, and, of course, other people will notice too. If you find yourself not "losing it" over things which previously would have sent you ballistic, if you find yourself thinking of others and doing for others first, then you will come to recognize the fruits of the Spirit and give thanks to God.

∙ 13y agoThere is no one, agreed answer to this question, but it seems that you are expected to feel a religious experience, or experience the peace that comes with ceasing to doubt the teachings of your church.
Another view is that the Holy spirit does not really exist. Any feeling of having some form of religious experience is purely psychological, as the believer tries desperately to conform.

∙ 11y agoI have never felt the Holy Ghost and I do not know anyone who can honestly say that he or she has done so. Catholics believe that he guides the cardinals in the election of a new pope but, as one cardinal told the National Catholic Reporter's John Allen, "I was never whapped on the head by the Holy Spirit. I had to make the best choice I could, based on information available."
Either the Holy Spirit does not really exist, or he is quite reluctant to make his presence felt.
