Russia's economy has moved from communism to a free enterprise system since what year?
im not sure =S Until the split-up of Europe and the creation of the the smaller European states at the end of WW I, Poland was part of Russia. Poland was a political punchbag between more powerful nations fior several centuries. So the answer to the question is that Poland was a province of Russia and thus part of the Russian war effort in WW I. Poland itself was moved bodily 100 miles west at the end of WW II - more punchbaggery!
