The multiplayer weapons are not for competitive play and that is why you cannot equip them. In the competitive multiplayer you have to pick up weapons arround the map. In the Co-OP multiplayer however you can choose what weapons you wish to use before you start.

It is not in halo combat evolved proper, but you can probably get mods with a gravity hammer in it for halo custom edition. It is in halo 2 used by Tartarus but you cannot wield it. In halo 3 you can wield it i multiplayer and campaign. I have no idea about halo odst but it was not in the list of weapons not in odst so I imagine it is in there.

Nothing. The multiplayer map-pack is an add-on. Which means you can't play the Multiplayer map pack without Halo 2. The only thing that is different is the maps, that get downloaded to your Xbox when you boot up the multiplayer map pack. The models, textures, gameplay is all exactly the same.
