Crixus and Sparticus

No, there does not seem to be any female gladiators that are even named, let alone be famous. Most women would use a "stage name" anyhow, as they certainly would not want their family name associated with the lowest form of entertainment. This, of course, is assumed that they were free women who entered the arena voluntarily. The British Museum has a marble of two female gladiators with their names inscribed in Greek as "Amazon" and "Achillia". They are obviously stage names but there is no record of how famous these women were.
Spartacus was one.
Surviving gladiators could retire. The successful gladiators could make quite a lot of money. Gladiators were allowed to keep the prize money of the contests and famous gladiators received substantial donations from rich people and, sometimes, emperors. Successful gladiators were very popular and were treated like heroes. It is thought that some retired gladiators worked as teachers at the gladiatorial schools.

Caligula did hold Gladiator games, in fact he was one of the most famous emperors to do so. He was also one of few emperors that participated as Gladiators, he also was famous for forcing people of the audience to fight againt other gladiators, animals, or him. Hope this helps. -xxLaxPwnerxx Caligula did hold Gladiator games, in fact he was one of the most famous emperors to do so.
