What were Jesus' messages to us?

These were many and relate to who He is, how to be rightly related to God and to each other.

Regarding Himself He had much to say that clearly revealed Who He was, the almighty creator. He declared Himself to be the self-existent 'I AM' of Exodus 3:14 and:

6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Much more could be said, but it must be remembered that Jesus also promised to be with His followers and to guide them into all truth. He also warned that the devil is the father of lies, and undoubtedly one of, if not the greatest of all his lies is to hide both the reality of who Jesus is, particularly as authenticated through both His creative power and His glorious resurrection and the terribleness and reality of the judgment to come. His words are even truer today (if that were possible) than when they were spoken. 'Men will be lovers of their own selves.' He also spoke of people not being willing to come into the light lest their evil be revealed. People will make all kinds of excuses to avoid the truth, yet He has promised that all that seek Him will surely find Him.
