Just read a few of Vincent's Letters and you will learn how religion was the main topic and ambitions around his family life. His father, along with many uncles and other earlier relatives were ministers of their religion. Vincent's own father sent him away to boarding schools in his early school years and made sure he was out of his house at the age of 14 working for his uncle Cent, an art dealer. It has been said in Vincent's letters that his return home for that roof over his head as the starving artist that he was known to be,..... that his own father told Vincent on more than one occasion that he was killing him.

We know Vincent valued the advice he got from Anton Mauve and Camille Pissarro. He admired his colleague Paul Gauguin. It is not known whether he admired any of his predecessors. And before Vincent was famous he had been dead for many years.
There are several saints named Vincent. Please be specific.
