Blink-182 started With Mark Wanting to make a band and Marks sister Introduced him to Tom in 1992. They met Scott Raynor in a club and they formed blink. They played their first song "Carousel" In Scott's Room. They Recorded their demo tape Flyswatter, and soon after recorded Demo Tape #2 Then they were sued by an Irish pop band for the name blink. so tom added 182 to the end. Cheshire Cat was then made in 1994. They went on a small tour and in 1997 recorded Dude Ranch. Dude Ranch got some popularity and blink-182 went to MCA Records in 1998. While on tour Scott Raynor had to leave because of a alcohol problem. Travis Barker Was in their back up Band called The Aquabats. they asked Travis to play with them and Travis learnt all their songs in half an hour. They Wanted Travis In the Band So He Joined. They then Made Enema Of The State In 1999. They Made a song called Man Overboard that was about Scott Raynor.
