English Bulldogs were originally bred for the sport of Bullbaiting.
It is very difficult to pinpoint a date when the American Bulldog was first bred. It seems to have happened in the 1970's, but there is no true record of when it was done.

Nobody really knows why they have tiny tails. I know that they are born with tiny tails, because my bulldog had puppies.
no.
They were'NT bred together. tHe Boston Terrier is a mix of a English Bulldog and A White Terrier. Not a Rat Terrier.
I never seen or heard a mix like that. Google french buldog, see what they look like and come to a conclution.
What an unusual question. Bassett Hound comes to mind, lol. Bulldog is another one.
Yes. The original Old English Bulldog is an extinct breed since the Cruelty to Animals Act was placed in England, 1835, and they were "bred to extinction". Modern English Bulldog, although a descendant, was bred mainly for show purposes, the most prominent being interbreeding with pugs which is why they took on the squat and squashy-faced appearance. The Old English Bulldog was a stark contrast, a very athletic and agile "working" dog and a well documented vicious temperament. The breed that resembles them, and is genetically the closest is the modern 'American Bulldog'.
