How did humans most likely live during the stone age?

The Stone Age had two parts, the Neolithic and Paleolithic age, which you learn about in 7th grade Social Studies. Life in the Paleolithic age was pretty tough.

Paleolithic Age----

• For food, people hunted and gathered. There wasn't a stable food supply.
• Shelter was temporarty, and in tents or caves.
• The communities where small; bands of 20-60 people.
• The main job was finding food to survive, and trading was rare.

Neolithic Age----

• People learned to farm, and domesticated sheep, goats, and cattle.
• Houses were made out of mud bricks, with a mix of stones and tree branches. They had several rooms. Housed protected Neolithic people from harsh weather and wild animals.
• Communities where much larger, and people learned to work together to get jobs done faster.
• With people not needing to constantly hunt and gather food, they learned other jobs like basket making, weaving, toolmaking, and traders.
• The Neolithic people traded often, and would travel hundreds of miles to find what they wanted.

So, basically, the Stone Age was split up into two parts - First Paleolithic, then Neolithic.

The Paleolithic people had a hard life, and many began hunting for food at young ages.

The Neolithic people had a much easier life, and they didn't have to skip meals because no food was found. With the farms, there wasn't an ending supply of food.
