Although Shakespeare had read the Latin classics in school, he was not really influenced by them after plays like Comedy of Errors and Titus Andronicus which were influenced by Terence and Seneca respectively. His real influences were the English playwrights who were writing at the time Shakespeare was just getting started, especially Christopher Marlowe, Thomas Kyd and George Peele.
