Adult mammoths only had one natural predator, the saber toothed cat. Unprotected mammoth calves could have been hunted by many large predators, such as cave hyenas, flat faced bears, American lions, saber toothed cats, and Dire wolves, to name a few. Prehistoric humans also hunted mammoths, including adults.
Men were the biggest predators of wooly mammoths.
they had flat teeth for eating leaves and plants
hawks and mammoths just kidding hehe:^)
Woolly mammoths had a few natural predators, including early humans and some large carnivores like saber-toothed cats, cave lions, and perhaps even wolves. However, due to their large size and social behavior, adult woolly mammoths were likely less vulnerable to predation, with calves being the more common targets for predators.
Just like modern elephants, woolly mammoths could run. As a matter of fact, elephants are known to run up to 35 miles per hour. There is no evidence that mammoths couldn't run.
They were prey, mammoths were herbivores meaning they ate plants. They had no need to hunt for food and were often preyed on by cavemen and other large carnivores (meat eaters.)
The mastodon's (wooly mammoth's) main predators were possibly smilodon (saber tooth cats).
Adult woolly mammoths were so large that they had few predators. Predators of adult woolly mammoths would have been prehistoric humans and Neanderthals, and possibly Eurasian cave lions and Homotherium (a type of saber-toothed cat). Juveniles and calves would definitely have been hunted by all of the above predators as well as by cave hyenas, which would not have been able to kill an adult mammoth.
[a pack of smiladon or saber tooth cat]a pack of prehistoric wolfs, are is the mammoths worst predators.
The prdators are cave man 3 million years ago and all kinds of meat eaters.
i dont know but i think they use them to frighten other animals/creatures
Early man, saber-toothed tigers and dire wolves would have preyed upon whatever Woolly Mammoths they could find.
