Beethoven had many problems in his life. When he was young, his father continually and aggressively tried to force him to play an instrument for selfish reasons; his grandfather also died while he was at a young age. He was also teased a lot because of his unattractive looks. When he was an adult, his hearing grew very bad. Beethoven died from pneumonia when he was in his later adult years.
