What was the worst thing the Nazi party did to the Jews?

It's hard to pick a particular action, I would normally just go with the massive amount of death, but there are worse things than killing a person.

If we move to things that are arguably worse than death, the worst thing that Nazis did to the Jews was the inhumane "experiments" of Doctor Mengele. A close second and third, in my book, were the Sonderkommando and the Judenraten. The Sonderkommando were Jews who worked in the Nazi Death Camps and were tasked with running the crematoria that burned up the Jews that had just been gassed. Every day, they would see and be forced to support the annihilation of their brethren. The Judenraten were Nazi-Appointed groups of Jews who were to oversee the internal workings of the ghettos and were required to provide the Nazis with lists of Jews to deport from the ghettos to the concentration camps. The type of moral quandaries that creates for a person and the erosion of justice and fairness makes the creation of the Judenrat and its members a unique and sadistic form of torture.

I would also second the atrocities listed by Expert Cassandra Lifesnadir as horrible things done by the Nazis, though I would still argue that Mengele, Sonderkommando, and Judenrat are the three worst things.

The absolute worst was murdering the Jews. Other atrocities that come to mind include:

1. isolating the Jews from the larger community
2. bullying and violence against Jews for any reason or no reason
3. encouraging non-Jews to bully, harass, threaten, beat, etc. Jewish people
4. promoting acts and attitudes that pitted one Jew against another Jew
5. using fear of death to force families to turn in their own family members
6. hoarding supplies and food so Jews living in Jewish "ghettos" (where they were forced into to live) had little food
7. starving Jews, even before putting them into concentration camps
8. separating Jews through "papers" and making them all wear the Star
9. terrorizing them with Gestapo raids on homes and businesses
10. tearing one family member (or several) away from their loved ones
11. making Jews they took "disappear" but families did not know what happened to them
12. using forced marches, where many Jews died or were murdered
13. forcing Jews into cattle cars, til they were packed in like sardines, with no toilet, food, water
14. German "selection" which killed some but spared others, families torn apart
15. robbing them of jewels, possessions, clothing, money
16. outright lying to Jews "This way to the showers"
17. gassing Jews
18. incinerating bodies of those they killed
19. dumping bodies into mass graves
20. denying them basic warm clothing for the temperature and weather
21. denying them blankets to keep warm
22. raping Jewish girls and women, then killing them
23. forced labor until many died
24. no medical treatment
25. ** forced and often GRUESOME and BARBARIC "experiments"
26. denying them contact with the outside world
27. stealing the humanitarian aid packages sent to camps for the prisoners
28. hiding their despicable acts
29. defending their despicable acts
30. running like cowards when they knew US Troops were approaching, leaving prisoners locked up with nothing to eat
31. promoting a world-view that the Holocaust wasn't "as bad" as it was--or "it didn't happen" at all

These 31 items are just the tip of the iceberg. Living through these things everyday, for years, would have created terrifying torment and horrendous needless suffering.
