    A perspective:

Any number of lessons may be drawn from Noah's account. For instance... Jesus tells us that when He returns with the Kingdom of God, earth's society shall have reverted to the utter wickedness that was extant in Noah's day.

"When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah's day. In those days before the Flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. People didn't realize what was going to happen until the Flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes." (Matt.24:37-39 NLT New Living Translation)

Of course, few people seem to "believe" that Jesus IS coming back... just like those in Noah's day didn't "believe" in a flood. Yet, Peter draws the comparison of the Flood to the approaching Day of Christ:

"First, I want to remind you that in the last days there will be scoffers who will laugh at the Truth and do EVERY EVIL THING THEY DESIRE..." (II Peter 3:3 NLT).

Compare this with Noah's day: "...the LORD observed the extent of the people's wickedness, and He saw that all their thoughts were consistently and totally evil." (Gen.6:5 NLT)

Peter continues: "This will be their argument: 'Jesus promised to come back, didn't He? Then WHERE IS HE? Why, as far back as anyone can remember, everything has remained exactly the same since the world was first created.'" (verse 4) [although the world has ventured away from God the Creator into the belief that "creation can occur without a Creator" and teaches that "the design, order, laws, etc., in creation are accidental."]

"They deliberately forget that GOD MADE THE HEAVENS by the WORD of His command, and He brought the earth up from the water and surrounded it with water. Then He used the water to destroy the world with a mighty flood." (verses 5-6)

Peter, also, draws "Noah's day" into the end time picture. Only the "end time flood" will be FIRE... a Fire named Jesus Christ!

"And God has commanded that the heavens and the earth will be consumed by Fire on the Day of Judgment, when ungodly people will perish." (verse 7)

So, "what is Noah about in The Bible?"

Noah is a "witness and a warning" to the "Wise." The "Wise" being "those who Fear God" [see Prov.9:10 & Eccle.12:13-14]... believe His Word... and conducttheir lives accordingly, in "obedience to His Commandments."

Those in these last days that are like the days in which Noah lived; and whose Faith lies in the LORD as Noah's did, can take Noah's example to heart as to "how to conduct oneself" in a world gone "consistently and totally evil."

Matthew Henry explains it this way:

"...Noah did not find favour in the eyes of men; they hated and persecuted him, because both by his life and preaching he condemned the world: but he found grace in the eyes of the LORD, and this made him more truly honorable than the men of renown. LET THIS BE OUR CHIEF DESIRE, let us labour that we may be accepted of Him. When the rest of the world was wicked, Noah kept his integrity. God's goodwill towards Noah produced this good work in him. He was a Just man, that is, Justified before God, by Faith in the promised Seed. As such he was made holy, and had Right Principles; and was Righteous in his conversation [conduct]. He was not only honest, but devout; it was his constant care to do the will of God.

"God looks down upon those with an eye of favour, who sincerely look up to Him with an eye of Faith. It is easy to be religious when religion is in fashion; but it shows strong Faith and Resolution, to swim against the stream, and to appear for God when no one else appears for Him; Noah did so.

"All kinds of sins were found among men. They corrupted God's worship. Sin fills the earth with violence, and this fully Justified God's resolution to destroy the world. The contagion spread. When wickedness is become general, ruin is not far off; while there is a remnant of praying people in a nation, to empty the measure as it fills, Judgments may be long kept off; but when all hands are at work to pull down the fences, by sin, and none stand in the gap to make up the breach, what can we expect but a flood of wrath?" (Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary: Gen.6:8-11; Noah finds grace)

Noah is about "a praying remnant" in a "consistently and totally evil" end time world that's primed for Christ's return; the coming FLOOD OF GOD'S WRATH. Noah is an example to the end time Faithful:

"The LORD isn't really being slow about His promise to return, as some people think [He gave Noah 120 years to prepare for the flood]. No, He is patient FOR YOUR SAKE. He does not want anyone to perish, so He is giving more time for everyone to repent... And so, dear friends, while you are [Faithfully] waiting for these things to happen [as it happened in the days of Faithful Noah], MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO LIVE A PURE AND BLAMELESS LIFE. And be at Peace with God." (II Peter 3:9-14 NLT)

Noah [among other things] is a "warning to the end time WISE"... those whose Faith is in Christ.

"I am WARNING YOU AHEAD OF TIME, dear friends, so that you can watch out and NOT BE CARRIED AWAY BY THE ERRORS OF THESE WICKED PEOPLE. I don't want you to lose your own secure footing. But grow in the special favor and Knowledge of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ..." (verses 17-18).

"It was by Faith that Noah built an ark to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about something that had never happened before. By his Faith he condemned the rest of the world and was made Right in God's sight." (Heb.11:7 NLT)

Were do people go when they die?

A persons spirit is what leaves and it either goes to heaven if you dont commit man sins and if god forgives you for those sins as long as you really feel bad about the sins you commited. Or a persons spirit can go to hell if they commit sins and don't go to church to confess them selfs upon a priest(thats when god forgives people for their sins) but if people don't follow the 10 commandments and don't at least pray for god to forgive your sins you go to hell which is a bad thing obviously because your spirit is torchered and god is our creater which gives us eternal life if we go to heaven after some one dies.

What was the job of the pardoner in medieval times?

A pardoner was a person who raised money for the church by selling indulgences and by getting offerings. The reason he was called a pardoner is that the indulgences were for pardoning peoples' sins. The pardoner prescribed penances for the sins confessed. Technically, the indulgences did not absolve people of sins they had not repented and confessed, so the modern view of people selling some sort of right to commit sins is not quite true.

Will Allah forgive all sins apart from shirk?

Answer Yes, per Allah (God in English) mercy and will. However, you should first recognize that you are sinful, repent from your sins and ask Allah forgiveness, and intend not to make these sins again. If your sins are related to depriving some people from their licit rights, then you should return to them those rights or ask for their forgiveness.
